Module Description: This module revisits the self-assessment process for the year one module and conducts a re-assessment in the context of the defined core competencies. It supports the learner in the development of evidence of achievement of core competencies and in identifying deficiencies in relation to them. It assists the learner, in consulation with the placement co-ordinator and the workplace supervisor, to devise learning activities to address identified competence gaps.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Conduct a self assessment and identify those competencies which have been achieved to date.
LO2 Develop an individual skills inventory in the context of the core competencies deemed as appropriate for community work practice
LO3 Record and reflect on evidence of attainment and learning in a porfolio
LO4 Identify under supervision those gaps remaining in achievement of core competencies.
LO5 Construct a set of learning activities to be undertaken to address deficiencies in competence levels.

Learning Agreement
Roles of supervisor, co-ordinator, learner. Format of learning agreement - learning activities, supports and responsibilities.
Assessment
Purpose and methods of assessment, self assessment. Application to workplace competencies.
