PO1 Knowledge - Breadth Identify relevant issues of concern; research, analyse and utilise information so as to support a particular viewpoint, and be articulate about key critical, technical and theoretical debates in their chosen sub-discipline within fine art practice.
PO2 Knowledge - Kind Possess detailed theoretical and technical knowledge in a range of subject areas within fine art practice, be able to utilise this knowledge to create a resolved body of artwork demonstrating an effective synthesis of practical, theoretical and conceptual knowledge and skills and be able to evaluate and discuss their own artwork within a broader contemporary and art historical context.
PO3 Skill - Range Use a range of specialist and transferable skills appropriate to their chosen sub-field of fine art practice and demonstrate mastery of their chosen medium.
PO4 Skill - Selectivity Exercise appropriate judgement in planning, design, technical and/or management functions related to the production of a body of artwork, and be able to use diagnostic and creative skills and apply appropriate methodologies to resolve particular aesthetic or technical problems.
PO5 Competence - Context Be able to explain the implications and applications of creative solutions in a variety of contexts, be able to apply critical thinking with regard to their own fine art practice and its outcomes and be able to evaluate and discuss art practice within a broader social, economic and aesthetic context.
PO6 Competence - Role Undertake self motivated and directed artistic practice, Implement or co-ordinate individually or as part of a team the planning, design, technical and/or supervisory functions related to the productions of single or collaborative artworks.
PO7 Competence - Learning to Learn Be able to apply acquired knowledge, skills and competencies independently to their own fine art practice; demonstrate the ability to evaluate and direct own learning, and acknowledge learning achieved through successful and unsuccessful outcomes.
PO8 Competence - Insight Be willing to question existing precepts in extending the parameters of knowledge and to challenge personal abilities and competencies so as to extend their own knowledge, skill and competence.
