Module Description: The module aims to equip students with the skills required to produce a variety of content in a multi-platform workplace environment. This module will develop students content writing and publishing skills using appropriate software packages.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Design and produce multi-colour publication in the form of a brochure, poster and newsletter.
LO2 Create, edit and manage digital images following best practice.
LO3 Produce shareable audio and video content using appropriate devices.
LO4 Construct create clear, cohesive, and accurate written communications using appropriate technologies.
LO5 Critique individually and in a team online content and understand the principals of selecting content suitable to a specific audience.

An Introduction to Commercial Media Publishing
What is Commercial Media Publishing, challenges and solutions digital media presents, explore an industry standard software package.
Publishing Skills
Produce business content, from concept, through to planning design and layout, using appropriate software. Produce content for offline and online platforms that complement and reinforce the branding of the organisation.
Understand digital needs of a business
Research audience requirements, design a suitable message with purpose to transfer online using collaborative methods.
Using online applications
Identify and use suitable online applications that facilitate online publishing of business content, digital communications such as video conferencing and collaborative team working activities.
