Module Description: This module allows you to explore a chosen theme or topic through photography. Emphasis is placed on developing a high level of control in areas of image making, processing and production. The establishment of an individual and independent photographic practice is intrinsic to this module.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Research
Supporting and informing practice. Exploring issues, photographic genres and the importance of context in contemporary photography.
Investigating the idea and developing skills
Developing concepts, the nature of experimentation, identifying and developing appropriate skills and techniques. Image creation, processing and manipulation.
Output options
Screen and print. Photo books, large format printing, commercial and fine art printing options, influence of media, advanced colour management and control.
Presentation
Formats, selection and presentation.Exhibition display and the portfolio. Print base, mounting options and materials, display options and methodologies.
