The changed role of the modern warehouse and distribution centre. Latest best practices in warehouse and distribution management. Warehouse location and design. Outsourcing the warehouse or distribution centre function. The selection of outsourced partner. Automation and warehouse equipment. Warehouse housekeeping and safety. Quick response logistics. CRM and the distribution centre.
Inventory management
Planning inventory classification and management. Material Requiments Planning (MRP) & Just-in-Time (JIT). Kanban control systems. Forecasting demand. The master planning and operations schedule.
