Module Description: This module introduces the student to Health Promotion. The pedagogical approach for the delivery of this module is project based learning. Following introductory lectures the students work in groups to plan and present a campus based health promotion intervention.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Apply models of health to enhance understanding of particular practical situations
LO3 Appraise the evidence based literature on college based health promotion interventions.
LO4 Analyse the effects of the determinants of health on the health status of individuals and groups in society.
LO5 Plan a comprehensive health promotion intervention on a chosen health related topic for a student population
