Module Description: This module looks at the nature of financial management, its importance in the success of Social Care organisations and the tools and techniques the manager can use to implement successful financial management in Social Care organisations today.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Interpret financial statements their benefits, importance and advantages in social care service delivery
LO2 Evaluate financial statements to determine the progress of the organisation.
LO3 Use financial analysis to assist in developing business plans for Social Care service delivery.
LO4 Manage working capital to enable the care business to operate on a day to day, week to week basis.
LO5 Utilise financial forecasting to anticipate problems or changes due to external environment changes.
LO6 Understand Capital Budgeting and its purpose in the overall strategic plan of the care organisation.
