Module Recommendations
This is prior learning (or a practical skill) that is strongly recommended before enrolment in this module. You may enrol in this module if you have not acquired the recommended learning but you will have considerable difficulty in passing (i.e. achieving the learning outcomes of) the module. While the prior learning is expressed as named MTU module(s) it also allows for learning (in another module or modules) which is equivalent to the learning specified in the named module(s).

Indicative Content |
On the job work based training
There is no taught content within this module. However, the learner must leverage from the company's in-house procedures and systems as well as from their in-house engineering team.
This module requires the employer to give the learner access to and training/work experience in the company’s documentation procedures, health and safety procedures and project financial appraisal applicable to their work place, and human resource requirements with respect to working within groups, codes of conduct and disciplinary procedures.
The objective of Industry Practice Research is for the learner to acquire sufficient knowledge of these systems and procedures so that they can apply them in managing engineering services based projects and provide evidence of this application for the Industry Practice Application module.
