Beidh béim ar na ceithre scileanna teanga: éisteacht, labhairt, léamh agus scríobh.
Éisteacht
Déanfar forbairt ar scil na héisteachta.
Labhairt na Gaeilge
Déanfar cleachtadh ar an teanga a labhairt: cúrsaí reatha a phlé; agallaimh a chur sa tsiúl; comhrá beirte agus grúpa; scéalta as nuachtáin a léamh agus a phlé. Cuirfear béim ar líofacht teanga agus ar chruinneas cainte sna ranganna seo.
Léitheoireacht
Beidh ar mhic léinn léamhthuiscintí agus ailt a léamh i rith an t-seimeastair.
Feasacht teanga
Míneofar phríomhphointí gramadaí sna léachtaí: an t-ainmfhocal, an briathar, an aidiacht, an forainm, an clásal, an abairt, poncaíocht, caint dhíreach agus claoninsint.
Scríbhneoireacht
Ailt; cuntais; tuairiscí; dialann mhachnaimh; aistriúcháin ó Ghaeilge go Béarla agus ó Bhéarla go Gaeilge; foclóir fairsing a bhailiú.
