On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Demonstrate secure technical skills in a wide variety of styles and vocal qualities
LO2 Present vocal exercises and studies from legit to contemporary demonstrating acquired vocal techniques and resonance strategies
LO3 Present a programme of musical theatre repertoire demonstrating acquired technical skills, contrasting styles and enhanced acting through song
LO4 Continue the development of vocal wellness strategies for solo and ensemble performance, including the ability to identify vocal fatigue.
LO5 Reflect on learning, research, and practice methods.

Development of technical proficiency and stylistic diversity through exercises, and the exploration of appropriate repertoire
Analysis
Analysis of technical considerations and characterisation of era-specific repertoire in both legit and contemporary disciplines
Repertory Study
Exploration of era-specific repertoire integrating independent research of the development of music theatre genres and styles
Performance Skills
Continued development of the ability to integrate technical singing skills with other performance skills, such as storytelling, acting through song, and the use of appropriate movement in solo performance
Vocal Wellness
Continued development of vocal wellness strategies for solo and ensemble performance
Reflective Practice
Reflection on practice and progress, by means of a weekly journal submission on Canvas
