The Irish legal system
Introduction to the study of law, sources of law, the Irish legal system and court structure.

Tourism Law and Policies
Free Movement, EU Environmental Policy and Tourism, EU Consumer Protection and Tourism, Implications of competition policy for tourism practitioners, Transport (Tour Operators and Travel Agents). Hotel Proprietors Act, Tourism Traffic Act 1939 - 2016, Aliens Order, Package Holidays & Travel Trade 1995 , Safety - Safety, Health & Welfate at Work Act and Fire Services Act (practical application).

Commercial Law
Contract Law, Tort Law, Consumer Information Act, Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, Data Protection Act, Agency, The Liability for Defective Products Act, The Roles of: the Consumer Association of Ireland, the Director of Consumer Affairs, the Advertising Standards Authority.

Employment Law
Employment Contract (contract of service, contract for service), Protection of Workers - Organisation of Working Time Act,Payment of Wages Act, National Minimum Wage Act, Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, Protection of Employees (Part-time Work) Act, Maternity Protection Act, Adoptive Leave Act, Parental Leave and Carers Leave.
