Module Description: This module enables students to design, conduct, collate and present an independent piece of research with reference to Montessori philosophy (children aged birth to12 yrs) with supervisory support.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Compile a dissertation with reference to Montessori theory (birth to 12 Years).
LO2 Apply relevant ethical research principles including those that pertain to children.
LO3 Utilise feedback from supervisor mentoring sessions to work independently.
LO4 Synthesise findings from primary and secondary sources to form recommendations.
LO5 Orally present research processes and findings using visual aids.

Small group supervisory sessions; research breakdown; progress reports and feedback.
Academic Writing and Resource Preparation
Guidance related to generic research design, data collection, data analysis, report writing, editing and referencing. Design and creation of visually engaging resources, representing the research process.
