Module Description: This module provides students with a sound understanding of key theoretical issues in the field of sport and exercise psychology. These theoretical issues will be applied to practical settings; both sport and physical activity for health.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Analyse the key theories of motivation and their application to sport and exercise.
LO2 Examine factors that influence health behaviours with specific reference to exercise.
LO3 Choose and utilise measurement tools in sport and exercise psychology to select appropriate coaching/leadership styles for individual clients/athletes.
LO4 Explain key psychological considerations for specific populations.
