Module Description: To consolidate an advanced level of dance skill and artistry upon the experiences of styles and techniques gained in Dance 1 - 6 together with the capacity for expressive performance. An environment where continuous practice is encouraged along with a culture of self-improvement both physically and artistically. This module elevates the dancer to a professional capacity to perform in a solo and/or ensemble context.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Indicative Content
Dance Technique
Students will be taught exercises to further develop stamina, strength, mobility, control, isolation work, pirouettes, steps of elevation and travel including a repertoire of lifts and partner work. theatre disciplines preparing the student for the practical and physical demands of dance within musical theatre productions. .
Practical Skills
The student will develop more complex routines and combinations in a variety of styles which may include past/present Musical Theatre repertoire.
Physical Skills
Enable students to increase versatility in their physical skills and integrate their knowledge across a range of musical genre
Research Methods
Encourage students to recognise how research can inform practice to work independently
