Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Demonstrate pre professional technique, vocal versatility, and advanced level of acting through song and performance preparation conducive to 8 shows per week
LO2 Identify the onset of vocal problems such as vocal fatigue and take appropriate remedial steps
LO3 Follow a programme of agility, flexibility and stamina exercises for continuous professional development
LO4 Apply a range of vocal technique and heightened characterisation in various settings and apply to performance
LO5 Reflect on process, personal potential and consolidate the skills essential to creating and sustaining performance

Voice Types
Identify and understand the characteristics of the different voice qualities found in musical theatre
Warming up
Becoming familiar with a range of warm-ups suitable for typical musical theatre situations
Vocal development
Devising a personal programme that will lead to continuous vocal development and improvement
Ornamentation
Acquiring a vocabulary of vocal phrases that can be turned to embellish or characterise a performance
Repertoire
Choosing suitable specific repertoire for a terminal performance
