Module Description: This module explores the key issues facing senior management in developing information systems strategy and the approaches to information systems management and operations in the context of an e-commerce enabled business environment.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Concepts and methodologies of ISSP, integration with business plans, implementation of ISSP, project selection review & management.
IS Infrastructure Management
Systems selection & acquisition, evaluation of requirements and review of alternatives, outsourcing/cloud based solutions, managing supplier relationships.
Impact of information networks.
Data management issues and data integration, Intranets/Extranets/Supply chain integration.
Managing change in IS
IS innovation, technology and change management, impact of mobile platforms, managing risk.
Legal, Environmental, Social Issues.
Legislation/EU regulation, human factors.
Control & Audit of IS
Risk indentification analysis and management, design/development of controls, contingency planning and disaster recovery.
