Module Description: This module will introduce the student to formal visual language through objective and non-objective analysis in 2D and 3D, and the manipulation of formal visual elements , employing a range of appropriate media and approaches.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Use 2D and 3D visual elements demonstrating their relationship to format, composition and the articulation of form in space.
LO2 Engage appropriately with the creative manipulation of processes, media and materials.
LO3 Respond to concepts and initiate an individual approach to problem solving.
LO4 Manipulate, select, evaluate, and present their work both visually and verbally.
LO5 Gather information from the physical world by analysis, using drawing media and approaches.
LO6 Use and maintain equipment and workspace in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner.
