Module Description: This module is to provide learners with a comprensive knowledge of the consultancy cycle and to enable them to develop a range of skills and strategies to implement sustainable change management initiatives within the hospitality enviroment.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Consultancy Cycle
Entry, contracting, investigation, feedback and action review. The Seven Cs framework.
Consultancy Roles
Internal/external/change/project managers/leaders. How to lead effective meetings and conduct performance analysis. How to stimulate creative thinking.
Impact assessment
Ethical issues - head and heart negotiation. Trust and relationship building.
Models for leading change
Planned change, unplanned and emergent change. New technologies, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, new strategies, cultural transformations, globalisation and e-business.
Role of Leadership in Hospitality
The role of effective leadership in change management and identifying how this is relevant to consultant or change agent.
