Introduction to Global Business
Nature and significance of global business, opportunities and challenges, reasons for internationalisation, entry strategies, emerging and developed markets.

Globalisation
Drivers of globalisation, opportunities and threats, global institutions.

Macro-environmental Forces
Business environment: Political and legal forces - political stability, risk, differing legal frameworks; Economic forces - economic integration and trading blocs; Cultural forces - values, beliefs, language, religion, education.

Ethics and Social Responsibility
Ethical behaviour, code of ethics, corporate social responsibility, corruption.

Case Studies
Students will review case studies highlighting issues involved in global business.
