LO1 |
Describe the role of the Rooms Division function in promoting and delivering sustainable rooms division products, services and behaviours. |
LO2 |
Explain the need for and apply effective hygienic procedures in the cleaning of public areas and bedrooms at operational level. |
LO3 |
Distinguish between the psychological and physical dimensions of safety and the importance of safety, security and asset protection to guests, staff and management. |
LO4 |
Complete Individual, corporate and tour reservations. |
LO5 |
Apply knowledge of the key functional areas of Front Office. |

Accommodation Products & Services
Types of hotels, categorisation, classification, grading, the guest cycle, sustainability and the guest experience, VIPs, rooms service and turndown.

Hotel Guestrooms and Public Areas
Types of guestrooms and standard contents, legal requirements, guest expectations, cleaning guestrooms and public areas, the science of cleaning, standard operating procedures.
|
Accommodation Safety & Security
Legal requirements, the work environment, safety and security, safeguarding of assets, accident, fire and crime prevention, key control, sickness and emergencies, Do Not Disturb signs, lost property.

Front Office - Reservations
Use of PMS systems in Hospitality, Rate availability, guest profile, guest reservation, amendments, cancellations, managing rates and room booking, blocking rooms and booking contracts.

Front Office Theory
Front office terminology, role and functions of the front office, enhancing guest experiences, introduction to the PMS ( Property Management Systems), importance of professionalism and communication in front office.
