On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to: |

LO1 |
Utilise skills within traditional life drawing processes; demonstrate proficiency and confidence and the ability to accurately draft and check a life figure in space. |
LO2 |
Display critical awareness in exploration and experimentation through drawing media including pictorial structure, surface and format. |

Demonstrate through their drawings, the formal value that different drawing processes and media can communicate |
LO4 |
Critically evaluate their practical research. |
LO5 |
Apply correctly etiquette and health and safety requirements when working in a life room with a life model. |

Research
Compile and record documentation of class based visual experiments. Collect relevant sources of contemporary exhibition and critical reviews.

Group Critique
Critical and contextual group discussions centred on a range of traditional and non-traditional fine art drawing practices. Analyse and develop an understanding of drawings varied function within a multifarious media artscape.

Practical
Introduction to accurate analytic observational drawing techniques with a life model exploring traditional and non-traditional processes, pictorial structure and surface.
Experimentation and enquiry of the art work's physical and perceptual values, methods of display, interaction with the environment.
