Module Description: This module addresses the concepts, practices and resources utilised in fine art photography with particular reference to narrative. It develops your knowledge of photographic technique and explores issues of visual storytelling, sequential presentation and display.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Establishing a topic
Identify topic, research methods, investigative approaches
Exploring context
Identifying and researching subjects and practitioners appropriate to individual photographic concerns
Narrative structures in photography
Exploring linear/non-linear narratives & the photographer as author
Image Processing
Image processing – optimisation, manipulation and printing using appropriate process and controlling print process
Outputting a series
Exploring formats - multiple prints, book, projection. Consideration of scale, format and layout.
Critical awareness
Analysis, evaluation and discussion of own and peers work.
