Module Description: To promote an understanding of the management of people within organisations by introducing key concepts impacting upon the management of individuals and teams. Students examine practical issues involved in managing people in organisations and the application of strategies in differing contexts.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Discuss contemporary approaches to sourcing, engaging and retaining people and the implications for managers.
LO2 Analyse workforce diversity in the workplace and its impact on shaping people management strategies.
LO3 Appraise strategies for managing people within a changing workforce profile.
LO4 Critically evaluate criteria for managing employee wellbeing through a comprehensive suite of policies and practices.
LO5 Develop an understanding of the need for an integrity culture and comprehensive policies to ensure compliance with ethical standards in the workplace.
