Architectural Portfolio primarily focuses on written, oral and visual presentation techniques required in the field of architecture. Portfolio preparation, interview techniques and the creation of a digital CV & portfolio will prepare the student seeking employment in the architectural field.

Indicative Content |
Graphic & Written Presentations
Portfolio presentation: Final presentation techniques. Evaluation of existing work. Creation of a standardized project template. Creation of a book using all imaging, graphic & 3d visualisation packages.
Create an online portfolio, optimised images, and downloadable CV. Using Wix or other free Portfolio Web Page Engine to create a unique website displaying a selection of the student's quality work. The web page should be clear in terms of navigation and quality display work. 3D Visualisation, CAD drawings, sketches and model photographs should all be included.
CV design using PowerPoint, Word & Photoshop computer software. CV structure, layout, style, personal statement, action words, language. Formulating a cover letter; structure, grammar, punctuation. Steps on how to complete a job application form.

Oral Presentation Techniques
Introduction to interview techniques. The mock interview is designed to guide students to: practice interviewing, develop interviewing strategies, reduce anxiety and nervousness before the actual interview. Create a good first impression. Communicate your skills clearly. How to answer difficult questions. Guidance on how to prepare. Professional dress, timekeeping, review of appropriate interview material (skills, type of work,
particular employers).

Digital/Physical Presentation
Prepare physical/digital presentation for finial year project using CAD/REVIT, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign software packages. The student will learn how to arrange a complex amount of information in a clean and legible manner. The following design considerations should be kept in mind: grid structure, font sizes, composition and legibility of drawings, hierarchy of images. Optimisation of cad drawings, line weights, hatch, colour, hand drawings and 3d drawings enhanced, legends, hierarchy of text, type of font, importing and exporting drawings from various graphic software packages and customized printing for various size formats.
