Animal Production Sectors
Dairy, Beef, Sheep, Pig, Poultry, Fish production . Importance of production outputs in the Irish agri-food industry.

Plant Production Sectors
Horticulture Vegetable, Fruit, Protected, Medicinal and Ornamental crops; Biomass crops, Phytoremedial crops, Grass production

Main Components of Food
Meat, Fish, Dairy Products, Cereals, Fruit and Vegetables, Macronutrients, Micronutrients.

Farm to Fork
Economic scope of the agri-food industry. Operations within the agri-food industry; harvesting, processing, transport, storage and marketing. Supply and demand chains from farmer to consumer. Global agri-food exports and income derived from Irish produced commodities.
