Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 show evidence of a developing dance vocabulary
LO3 communicate expressively through basic musical theatre dance
LO4 develop a personal dance practice founded on health and safety principles.
LO5 underpin a growing personal dance style with a knowledge of a broad range of historical choreographers

Indicative Content
Dance Techique
Students will be taught exercises to further develop stamina, strength, mobility, control, isolation work, pirouettes, steps of elevation and travel.
Practical Skills
The student will further develop routines and combinations in a variety of styles. Some improvisational work may also be included at this level.
Physical Skills
Physical Skills Enable students to acquire versatility in their physical skills and integrate their knowledge across all musical theatre disciplines.
Discipline
An emphasis will be placed on the practical development of skills required for best practice in the profession.
