Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Display an assured grasp of the technical and physical aspects of musical theatre dance.
LO2 apply a variety of dance vocabularies, styles and skills to performance.
LO3 communicate through expressive dance in a theatrical context
LO4 safely apply good practice in health and sustainable dance.
LO5 assimilate and utilise key choreographic practices and methods from established international dance artists.

Indicative Content
Dance Technique
Students will be taught exercises to further develop stamina, strength, mobility, control, isolation work, pirouettes, steps of elevation and travel.
Practical Skills
The student will further develop routines and combinations in a variety of styles. Some improvisational work may also be included at this level.
Physical Skills
Enable students to acquire versatility in their physical skills and integrate their knowledge across all musical theatre disciplines.
Discipline
An emphasis will be placed on the practical development of skills required for best practice in the profession.
