On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Exhibit a practical understanding of dance vocabularies, styles and skills and how to apply this knowledge.

LO4 Work within the context of healthy, safe and sustainable dance practice.
LO5 Explain key choreographers and practitioners methods, practices from a historical and or cultural context.

Indicative Content
Dance Technique
Dance Technique: Students will be taught exercises to develop stamina, strength, mobility, control, isolation work, pirouettes, steps of elevation and travel.
Practical Skills
Practical Skills: The student will be introduced to the development of routines and combinations in a variety of styles.
Physical Skills:
Enable students to acquire versatility in their physical skills and integrate their knowledge across all musical theatre disciplines.
