Multimedia Overview
An overview of media formats and their relevance to different environments and platforms. This can include still image, audio and moving image formats. Practical and theoretical work shall demonstrate the salient issues in relation to quality and the appropriateness of employing certain media within different contexts.

Design Techniques
An overview of the design process from concept to final publication. This assignment will allow students to investigate the steps involved in designing and developing rich media content. This should account for concept development, paper prototyping/storyboarding, scripting, production, postproduction, screening/testing, and dissemination. Fundamental narrative strategies should also be explained.

Practical Programme
Students shall demonstrate their understanding of fundamental principles through a series of practical projects. This can include class exercises and editing a set of presented files to required specifications. Students will develop the assignment by producing their own content.
