Module Description: Students will study/work for a period of 6-9 months in a country where the language they are studying as part of the International Business degree is widely spoken. Students undertaking the placement will primarily be in suitable roles where they have the opportunity to develop their language skills. Students will be expected to develop their language skills through cultural immersion, peer interaction and study/workplace related activities.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Communicate professionally in their chosen language while demonstrating knowledge of the relevant Cultural artefacts of the country within which they are studying.
LO2 Evaluate the experience of working/studying in different cultural environments.
LO3 Communicate effective development of their language ability.
LO4 Apply interpersonal and professional communication skills and knowledge in varied environments.
LO5 Demonstrate their knowledge and awareness of the culture they have been immersed in through reference to drama, theatre, arts and popular culture.
LO6 Evaluate the practical, logistical and other skills required in undertaking to work abroad.
