General Navigation
Solar system, great circle travel, directions and terrestrial magnetism.
VFR Communications
Visual Flight Rules, transmission of messages, relevant weather information.
IFR Communications
Instrument Flight Rules, radar procedural phraseology, distress and urgency procedures.
Principles of Flight
Sub sonic aerodynamics, trans-sonic aerodynamics, stability, operating limits.
Radio Navigation
Basic principles of radio theory, principles of radio aids, area navigation systems.

Assessment Description
Students will undertake the ATPL exams for Module 2. This assessment is an Multiple Choice Style exam drawn from an extensive (10000+) question bank and assesses the students theoretical knowledge of various concepts. In order to pass this module students will need to attain a minimum score of 75%.
