Projects are at the heart of all organisations. When operating internationally organisations need to successfully manage diverse virtual teams and projects. This module aims to give students the knowledge and understanding of successful projects and teams in an international context.

Effective International Teamwork
Building effective international teams; different types of teams; roles, responsibilities and power; team meetings; supporting conflict resolution in teams.

International Team Building Strategies
Teambuilding strategies and interventions. Theory of groups and teams. Team roles, development and leadership. Virtual teams.

Managing International Projects
Managing, communicating and controlling international projects. The wider context of stakeholder analysis, teamwork and leadership issues.

Project Management Body of Knowledge
PMBOK knowledge areas: Integration, Scope, Cost, Time, Human Resources, Procurement, Risk, Quality, Communications and Stakeholder Management.
Project Lifecycle / Process Groups: Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, closing.

Project Schedule Development using PM Software
Develop a detailed project schedule taking account of task, resources, costs and other schedule requirements using an appropriate software package.
