Module Description: The aim of this module is to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to develop and present a research project proposal. The proposal will form the basis for the completion of a research dissertation

Research Methodologies.
Quantitative and qualitative research. Interview techniques. Questionnaire design. Experiments. Observation techniques.Participant selection. Sampling techniques. Ethical research.
Research Design.
Research theories. Research strategies. Project management. Gantt Charts.
Dissertation proposal writing.
Dissertation layout. Composition techniques. Dissertation structure. Critical thinking.

The learner will submit a Research Proposal of approximately 5,000 words which will include details of the research topic and statement, a literature review, methodologies identified, the research design and references.
