This module will allow the student to gain an insight into the contractual controls and procurement systems required for the management of complex construction projects.

Define the purpose and use of a specification and other contract documentation for both new and refurbishment work. |
LO2 |
Discuss the cost implications of design decisions and explain cost planning and cost control. |
LO3 |
Explain the tendering process including the choice of procurement route. |
LO4 |
Critique civil law including the Law of Contract and the Law of Tort and legislation. |
LO5 |
Discuss and compare the administration and management of a construction project using one of the variety of standard Construction contract available, including resolving disputes |
