Programme Design
Design a coherent programme that is musically and technically appropriate to the performing group and shows contrast in musical style to the programme presented for MUSC9014. At least one module should include a work with a soloist.

Prepare material, ahead of rehearsals and to a professional standard.

Technical Skills (conductor)
Aural perception; effectiveness and range of gesture; rehearsal focus and pace; clarity and liveliness of address, verbal effectiveness.

Technical Skills (the performing group)
Tone quality; intonation; ensemble; expressive life; artistic projection to an audience.

Artistic Development
Focus on depth of score preparation; structural awareness; synthesising of historical, stylistic and contextual research to inform an individual performance.

Organisational Issues
Promotion (printed and electronic posters, programmes); professional platform presentation by the group; smooth running of all aspects of the concert.
