Project initiation, briefing, design, information
Site identification and evaluation, development identification and evaluation, identification of clients' needs, the role of the contractor in the design process
Methods of procuring a construction project
Delivery of a project from inception to completion, alternative procurement routes available to the client and their influences on time, cost and quality of the project
Selection of contractor
Pre-qualification and selection of main contractors and sub-contractors
Tendering procedures
Invitation to tender, preparation of tender, tender adjudication, vetting of tenders on private and public sector projects
Risk allocation
Identification of the elements of risk associated with a construction project, the prioritisation of these risks and their effect on the overall cost of the project
Project evaluation and feedback
Appraisal of completed project, feedback to client and project team
