Module Description: |
The learner will undertake a 15 credit work placement. The placement will provide the student with an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained on their programme and the integration of engineering, scientific, and other disciplines in a commercial operation. The placement is supported by a member of departmental staff together with a workplace mentor. The aim of the placement is to introduce the learner to structured employment in a relevant work sector and to develop in the learner an understanding of the organisation, its procedures, technology and engineering practices.

Wider Implications
Identify and implement professional practice with respect to social, environmental, ethical, health, safety, legal, personnel, sustainable, economic, financial and commercial considerations and responsibilities. Evidence of ethical decision making.

Managing interpersonal relationships covering conflict, conflict prevention and resolution. Demonstrating leadership and initiative and delivering on individual responsibility for adoption/development/improvement of a system.
