Consumer Protection Law
Overview of consumer protection legislation applicable to the motor industry. Misleading, aggressive, prohibited practices. The Consumer Rights Directive. The role of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

Data Protection
Data Protection Law in Ireland. Overview of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Role of the Data Protection Commission. Role of the European Data Protection Board.

Alternative Dispute Resolution
Different approaches to dispute resolution. The range of alternative methods of dispute resolution (ADR), including arbitration and mediation. The advantages and disadvantages of ADR methods particularly for business type disputes by comparison with litigation and the issue of legal costs.

Competition Law
Aspects of EU Competition Law applicable to the motor industry.

Employment Law from a HRM perspective
The legal framework within which HRM takes place. An overview of key pieces of employment legislation and employee relations practice, including grievance handling and discipline administration.
