Module Description: A psycho-physical approach to actor training, particularly utilising the work of practitioners such as Jerzy Grotowski.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Grotowski's rigorous vocal and physical exercises; Les Exercises Corporels; Les Exercises Plastiques
The Psycho-Physical Actor
The basic tenets of a psycho-physical approach to performance
Via Negativa - (eliminating blocks)
Focus on the actor eradicating obstacles that get in the way of being true rather than accruing skills
Grotowski's Poor Theatre
Create all that is needed for the play in the actor's body, with little use of props
