Module Description: The development of key concepts and skill sets required for arranging in the popular music industry, specifically for a large ensemble of more than ten players.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Analysis
The analysis of a substantial musical score, noting harmonic devices, textures, orchestration and other features
Arranging
The arrangement of a passage for large ensemble (of at least ten players), utilizing extended instrumental techniques and sonorities as stylistically appropriate.
Recording
The preparation of an arrangement for large ensemble in recorded digital format
