Module Description: This module gives students a foundation in developing visual and animated content for interactive media environments (with an emphasis on web browsers). The module concentrates on the creation, layout and animation of assets and media.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

HTML/CSS
Using the latest CSS selectors & properties. The cascade. Inheritance. Specificity. The CSS box model. Absolute and proportional measurement values. Calculating proportional values (percentages, ems, etc.). Layout case studies.
CSS Animation
Transitions. Keyframe animations. Easing.
Animation Tools
Animation authoring environments. Creating and controlling objects and their behaviour.
Media
Embedding video, sound, & graphics
Development Environments
Authoring tools, text editor feature sets, browsers, debuggers, inspectors
