Progressive Ensemble Skills:
The progressive development of musical, technical, stylistic considerations is addressed within the context of authentic ensemble interaction - across a spectrum of musical genres. Advanced levels of instrumental proficiency are expected in order to effectively engage with notated, aural and improvised performance.
Students are encouraged to lead by example - progressively managing their time, effectively streamlining daily practice routines and clearly communicating with peers – to enhance the collaborative development of each ensemble.
Continuous Assessment:
Each individual student is monitored on a weekly basis. Considerations such as attendance/ punctuality, participation/ leadership, preparedness, development of ensemble performance ability and contribution to ensemble progress are all taken into account in the context of the progressive requirements of the module.
