Module Description: This module will introduce the student to the technologies and tools that support HR Information Systems. This will facilitate the student’s understanding of the crucial role that these systems offer to an organisation.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Describe the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) features that support Information Systems
LO2 Demonstrate knowledge of the main features and tools of the Windows operating system, with regard to the management of files and other data
LO3 Use spreadsheet software to record, modify and display data
LO4 Use word-processing software to create reports with specific regard to formatting, layout and structure
LO5 Categorise Information Systems and outline the business role that they play
LO6 Describe the features and benefits of a HR Information System
