Module Description: |
This module incorporates the study of physical education, physical activity and play for children. The role of movement in the overall development of the child is examined. The organisational and practical skills required for planning, implementing and evaluating physical education sessions for children are applied.

Plan and develop age appropriate lesson plans for children in line with the National Primary School Curriculum.

Lesson objectives and learning outcomes, effective and safe group management skills, National School Physical Education Curriculum.

Promoting physical activity in a safe environment
Creating a safe and supportive environment for physical activity and play; risk assessment; health screening; child protection; adapting physical activities for children with disabilities and special needs. Individualised Educational Plan.
