This module develops the knowledge and skills of the learner for prescribing, planning, implementing and evaluating safe and effective exercise programmes for groups and individuals to enhance their overall health and wellness.

Fitness Assessment
Screening. Exercise history. Needs analysis.

Programme planning
Application of the components of fitness and the principles of training to the design of exercise programmes for individuals and groups.

Exercise programming for special populations
Older adult, pregnancy,cardiovascular disease, diabetes, asthma, hypertension, back care etc.

Lifestyle health behaviour
Alcohol, tobacco and drug use. Sleep hygene.
|
Stress Management
Cause of stress. Effect of stress on mood, body and behaviour. Stress management strategies.
