Module Description: This module introduces the student to the concepts of enterprise, entrepreneurship and innovation. It examines the driving forces and supports necessary to foster entrepreneurship with special reference to the small business and leisure sector.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Discuss the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and the increasingly significant role it plays in the Leisure Industry.
LO3 Examine the forces driving entrepreneurial trends in leisure.
LO4 Analyse the role of the state in supporting entrepreneurship.
LO5 Outline the sources of assistance and finance available to new enterprise.
LO6 Evaluate the performance of a Leisure based company through the use of financial ratios.
