Module Description: This Module will develop the student's skill and understanding through practical assignments covering a spread of drawing practices. The emphasis is on developing technique and skill so that ideas can be articulated, visualised and realised.

Indicative Content
Life Drawing
Correct observation in relation to proportion and structure. Exercises including gesture, mass gesture, contour, weight and modelled drawings.
Drawing
Drawing to facilitate communication, analytical and observational drawing. Subjective and objective drawing.
Composition
Structure and organisation of subject matter with emphasis on the principles of visual organisation that govern a drawings composition, balance, placement, rhythm, repetition and variation.
Conceptual Illustration
Interpretion of abstract thoughts and ideas.
