Module Description: This module will enable students to review and identify the most pertinent issues in their Applied Art Studio research, ensuring their ability to qualify their analysis and decision making and demonstrating their ability to identify, organise and execute new research strategies for the continued development of the work both in concept and manufacture.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Evaluate and categorise the output of their research material to date.
LO2 Explain their research strategies, identifying new research methodologies through critical evaluation.
LO3 Identify and develop relevant concepts through research material resulting in original artwork
LO4 Identify new technical research goals and production processes and assess their suitability through critical evaluation .
LO5 Apply the concepts involved in the implementation, organisation and selection of work for review both visually and verbally.

Systems of re-evaluation of all research information gathered, including survey of appropriate applications in 2D and 3D
Selection
Critical revision and selection of all technical information and process based skills, to identify appropriate areas for research and goals for further development.
Skills
Identification and research into new skills for the creative development of the work in both 2D and 3D.
Concept
Clarification and development of pertinent issues and their contextual significance through critical evaluation and constructive self reflection.
Materials
Identification of appropriate materials for production processes and research development.
Processes
Identification of appropriate technical processes and strategies for the development of the research material.
