Module Description: The emphasis of this module is to expose students to a range of specialised techniques, materials and processes. These skills and methods have a direct relationship to developing their critical awareness within their core practice.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Apply appropriate levels of technical expertise both in supervised teaching sessions and independently
LO2 Explore (critically evaluate) the influence / suitability of selected materials and methodologies in the context of their own work.
LO3 Review and analyze working practices to further develop a critical understanding of the outcome(s) of the explored work.
LO4 Identify relevant connections between their own work and a broader contemporary/historic artistic context
LO5 Use a range of equipment and materials with regard to Health & safety protocol.
