Module Description: This modules addresses the theory of people resourcing and builds on this by developing the skills necessary so that students can apply the theory to organisations through skills assessment and case study analysis.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Recommend appropriate recruitment strategies
LO2 Recommend strategies to drive and maintain employee engagement.
LO3 Advise on workforce planning issues that may impact on organisations and strategies to address these.
LO4 Advise on traditional and high validity methods for selecting employees.
LO5 Create a person specification for a real job and use this in a competency based interview.
LO6 Conduct a professional 20 minute panel interview using an external candidate as interviewee.

Methods of Workforce planning. Action Planning.Relevance and debates. Demand and supply of labour. Skill shortages. Talent management.
Employee Engagement
Definitions. Drivers of engagement. Engagement strategies in successful organisations.
